Maintaining Momentum this Summer to Keep from Falling Behind
Maintaining Momentum this Summer to Keep from Falling Behind Maintaining Momentum this Summer to Keep from Falling Behind Playgrounds may not be the only place your children experience a slide this summer. Whether you call it the summer slide or brain drain, children often fall behind without any academic learning during the summer months. While a break from the mental taxation of school is needed, studies show that children can lose up to two months of their knowledge and skills between school grades. A childs learning not only stagnates during this time, but a significant amount of the knowledge gained from the previous school year could also dissipate. To make matters worse, children who languish in the summer will almost always have trouble getting started when the new school year begins. Its important to remember, the brain is like any other muscle and needs a regular dose of exercise to stay strong. Consider how motivated and great we feel when we work out regularly. After taking a few months off of exercising, however, its easy to lose our motivation and our confidence may slip. Then, when we get over that hump and start exercising again, we often lose endurance and speed. The same thing happens to children after a long break from exercising the mind. They may lose confidence, motivation, and skills. What seems like simply taking two months off can easily slide into four months of progress lost and difficulty getting back into the routine. School is becoming increasingly more challenging each year. Since students have more free time in the summer, its a great opportunity to get ahead. Children that continue learning throughout the summer have an academic advantage that can catapult them into the new school year! The good news is theres plenty of time for both fun and learning in the summer. Check out this blog post for super simple tips! The simplest type of calculation you can do is, if you stay on the ones place and add one number to another, for example 4 plus 3 and we have 7 as a result of your calculation. Watch this Video ? BREAKING NEWS! Journalists Warn Of Loss Of Free Speech
BREAKING NEWS! Journalists Warn Of Loss Of Free Speech image from http://www.koeppeldirect.com The internet exists for a variety of reasons, but the reason a huge portion of it is free (other than your Wi-Fi bill) is because of advertising. Advertising ensures that sites like YouTube, Facebook and Twitter are free for public usage. These have premium services, but they are overwhelmingly unpopular and not heavily used by the general public. As such, big media companies know that they can make money by the number of clicks they get on a page. The more people click on the page, the more the ad is seen, the more the company can charge for space on their page. Itâs just like the two million dollar Super Bowl ads. As such, people invest lots of money in market research to see what gets the most clicks. Recently, YouTuber content creator CGPGrey posted a video talking about media interaction and specifically with anger and sharing. His video explained how anger-provoking material was spread around and why certain emotions brought out by content were more likely to be shared. Overwhelmingly, Grey explained, posts that provoked anger, or indeed any emotional response other than sadness, showed increase in sharing. This is why your Facebook feed is flooded in puppies, quizzes and anger-provoking hate spam. This idea is not old. If you know anything about the late 19th and early 20th centuries, youâll know that they were characterized by sensationalism or âyellow journalism.â This form of reporting is taking simple events in everyday life and blowing them way out of proportion. image from memegenerator.net Some have blamed wars of the period largely on newspaper tycoons wanting to sell newspapers. Phrases like âRemember the Maineâ resonated in this era of bad reporting. If you believe, however, that the news does not do this today, I have some ocean front property for you in Montana. With the rise of the Digital Age, social media, and the internet, yellow journalism is alive today. While sensationalism is formally shunned by journalists, media agencies still utilize it as a means to get clicks: the more clicks, the more ads views, the more money made. So headlines are getting increasingly sensationalistic. Conjectures that belong in the body of the article are seeping into headlines. Bare bones get put into the summary that do not reflect the complexities of the issues at hand. All this is fine, some would argue, so long as people write about the whole issue and people pull from a variety of sources. However, statistics from the New York Times Video Study in 2013 suggest that Millennials do not spend a large amount of time on individual pieces. They move about from topic to topic, tab to tab. Attention spans are not down, but target switching between topics is up and if another, more interesting topic comes up, they are likely to switch to that. So while the need for clicks is met, the information sent out is jaded and not complete. People do not have all the information they think they do. So the journalists and media are claiming that as long as you do your research and read the articles in their entirety, youâll get a better picture. Sadly, this is too true. (image from joyreactor.com) Millennials, itâs on us now. We have to engage. Our attentions are vied for by a variety of media now. We get 24 hours in a day and have to decide how to spend that time. If you do not spend time finding out about issues and really finding answers, you are not going to be able to participate in your democracy or the world at large. You have the ability to access more information in 20 minutes than most people in history could hope to see in their entire lives. Be a good global citizen and educate yourself. Find outlets and sources of information that are useful to you. That might be a big outlet like CNN, an independent non-media group, or somewhere else, but find sources of information. If you do not choose to find information, you are as good as censoring yourself. If you have the privilege of reading this article, you have an ability some would die for and indeed have. Be an active world citizen, find information and act on it.

How to Find a Language Tutor Near Me
How to Find a Language Tutor Near MeIf you're looking for a language tutor near me, then you've come to the right place. Here's how you can find a language tutor near me.A prospective language tutor is an important part of your life. You are probably an employer who wants to hire someone who can help you with your business. You might be an employee who needs to find a language tutoring company. If you find yourself in any of these situations, there are some questions you need to ask. What kind of language tutor should I get? Before you select anyone for a job, you must identify what they can do for you. You need to choose someone who will teach you their language. You need to make sure that you find someone who can do the job at hand without having to wait weeks or months. However, if you're going to have someone come to your home and teach you in a few hours, you need to make sure they'll be there for longer than that. How much time will they need for their lessons? If you're selecting an individual to teach you in person, then make sure they have enough time to complete the lesson. Ask them how much time it will take. If they tell you it will take three hours, ask how long it will take you to finish the lesson. Can I send them a note while they're with me? Green Chemistry Course - Prof. Alain Brignard
Green Chemistry Course - Prof. Alain BrignardGreen Chemistry is a great book by Prof. Alain Brignard. The book reviews the chemical process, and how it is related to the human body and its health.Organic Chemistry is an art, not a science. People with degrees in organic chemistry know that many of the chemical compounds in your body do not occur naturally. Organics are produced by man through various methods, some of which are described in the book.According to this organic chemistry book, you should watch your diet in order to maintain good health and ensure that you ingest enough of the 'essential' nutrients your body needs. This should be followed by watching what you eat (including what you don't eat), by doing some exercise, and by reducing the use of drugs and chemicals. While in this course, you will learn about the basic principles of Green Chemistry, including the links between plants and humans. Since so many new organic compounds have come about in the last few years, you w ill be able to find out how it is you can benefit from them.As a green chemistry course, it has been taught in over thirty different schools, and you will be able to choose a college that will help you get this degree, and one that is willing to give you financial aid in order to pay for it. By choosing the school, your chances of getting a full scholarship for this degree are higher. The most difficult part of the course, and the most important part of the Green Chemistry book, are learning how the different processes are accomplished, and how it will affect the body, and the mind. This is why this course is well worth the money, because you will learn how the chemical reactions in your body lead to different reactions in your brain.Self testing your mental health is very important, and this is another reason why this book is sovaluable. Not only does it give you information that can help you better understand yourself, but it can help you understand how to cope with different situa tions in your life.
